An elegant antique Tavannes ladies wristwatch from the Edwardian period, featuring a finely detailed case and original 15 jewel Swiss movement, presented in a vintage box for display. The watch is not currently running and is offered for restoration.
This Swiss-made Tavannes watch dates to the early 20th century and reflects the refined design language of the Edwardian era. The case is richly decorated with hand-applied engraving and chasing, including a raised vine motif along the sides and a detailed bezel. The crown is accented with a distinctive six-point star detail, adding a subtle decorative touch.
The dial is softly toned with a raised and textured center, complemented by original hands that retain the character of the period. The crystal is domed, clear, and in excellent condition.
The watch is powered by a manual wind movement marked Tavannes, 15 jewels, 3 adjustments. The movement ticks briefly and stops, and has not been serviced. It is offered as found and will require professional servicing to restore full function.
The case is a Wadsworth 14K gold filled example, marked “25 Years,” with a snap-back cover engraved with the initials MMS. It is paired with a period-style link bracelet featuring diamond-shaped links and an adjustable clasp marked JB and Lance Quality.
Presented in a vintage box for display (not original to the watch).
