Tightly twisted and flattened wire forms the slender hayseed links of this antique silver-tone watch chain necklace. Its open, elongated pattern creates a light paperclip-like appearance, while the 30 1/2-inch length gives it an elegant drop when worn.
Likely dating to the 1910s, the silver-tone base-metal chain is unmarked with its maker unidentified. A working dog clip fastens to the opposing jump ring and can also hold a pocket watch, fob, charm or pendant. Excellent antique condition with no notable link damage, repairs, finish loss or corrosion.
