A brilliant emerald-green glass stone rises above finely pierced sterling silver filigree in this circa 1920s Art Deco ring. The round faceted glass is held by six prongs within a high cathedral-style basket. Symmetrical openwork shoulders, chased decoration and delicate milgrain edges give the slender mounting remarkable architectural detail.
The ring is marked “STERLING”; the maker is unidentified. It remains in excellent antique condition with light wear. The glass is free from chips and significant facet-edge abrasion, all six prongs are secure, and the filigree shows no evident bends or repairs.
