Vintage Sterling Silver Sapphire and Diamond Revival Ring

$118.00

A deep blue sapphire sits between tiny diamonds and oxidized openwork scrolls in this signed sterling silver ring. Its slender Art Deco Revival design is equally appealing alone or in a stack.

Description

A deep blue round sapphire anchors this slender sterling silver ring, framed by tiny diamond accents and oxidized openwork shoulders. Angular borders and Celtic-inspired scrollwork give the symmetrical design an Art Deco Revival character. The four-prong sapphire measures approximately 4mm, or an estimated 0.25 carat; the two 1.5mm diamonds total approximately 0.03 carat.

Marked “STERLING” with an unidentified maker’s device incorporating letters and numerals. Likely dating to the 1990s, the ring is in excellent vintage condition. The tested sapphire and diamonds are secure and free from notable damage, and the mounting shows no evident bends, thinning or repairs. Natural versus laboratory-grown origin has not been determined.
