A vintage carnelian-colored pressed glass cameo fob depicting Ceres, the classical goddess of agriculture and the harvest.
The raised profile is framed by flowing hair and wheat stalks, the traditional attribute of Ceres, also known as Demeter in Greek mythology. The round glass cameo is set in gold-plated metal and suspended from a short chain with a spring-ring attachment.
In good vintage condition with age-related patina and wear to the gold-plated finish.
The glass cameo measures 1 1/16 inches (27mm) in diameter. The fob measures 2 7/8 inches (73mm) long overall and weighs 8 grams.
