A sculptural vintage sunburst pendant attributed to Canadian designer Guy Vidal, circa 1960s–1970s. Raised geometric forms animate the textured center, while alternating flared rays and open tubular shapes create an irregular, dimensional border. Darkened recesses contrast with the brighter surfaces.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Pendant only; no chain included. Its warm silver-gray color may appear warmer in photographs.
This unsigned example corresponds to a documented signed Vidal sun pendant of the same design and width. Working in Montreal, Vidal helped define the bold, experimental character of Canadian Modernist jewelry, creating pieces with the presence of small abstract sculptures.
