There are incredible workmanship and detail on this antique Sterling filigree necklace. The double headed Eagle vinaigrette pendant opens to hold a lock of hair or a bit of your favorite scent. Even the book chain is entirely made by hand, one link at a time.

The overall measurements are:

Pendant: 1 5/8" East West, 2 1/2" North South including the top and 9/16" thick at the center florette which is the highest point.

The chain is 20" long not including the width of the pendant by 9mm wide.

The condition is excellent. Please note the clasp on the chain is a replacement. We estimate this necklace to date from the 1880's, perhaps of Austro-Hungarian origin.

Unmarked, carefully tested. Overall approximate weight is 69 grams. It is fairly heavy.

We measure bracelets based on their wearable length, not the actual length. We do this because chunky bracelets will have a smaller wearable length than the actual length as the thickness of the bracelet reduces the internal measurement. If at any time you would like the actual length and is not in the description, please feel free to contact us.
