One of our all time favorites, this antique Victorian gold necklace has a detachable locket pendant brooch and a detachable bail. Gorgeous slightly rose gold shade.

Workmanship is simply exquisite, stunningly detailed cover. The high relief depicts a singing swallow bird (notice the  tail) on a branch with leaves. Ornate frame in Byzantine Revival style and stationary safety cover for the pin.

Locket with removable bail opens in the back to accommodate a single picture and is deep enough for a lock of hair. Estimated to date from the 1880's, it is in excellent condition with some original patina left.

Locket with bail is 2 1/4" long,1 3/16" at the widest point and 7/16" at the deepest not including pin bar brooch. Without the bail worn as a brooch it is 1 5/8" long.

Double rolo chain necklace has a very early type of c clasp which can be a bit difficult to open but works very well. Link pairs are 3mm wide and 4mm in diameter. Overall wearable length is 21".

Superb condition overall, one small loss on the corner of the glass photo cover inside the locket, barely visible.

It is unmarked, tests as weak 14k, likely 12k. Overall approximate weight is 26.44 grams.

Dates from the 1880's.

Our model's hand is approximately 5" wide or 12 cm as seen in this image:

Our Estate Jewelry measuring guide - model's hand.

We measure bracelets based on their wearable length, not the actual length. We do this because chunky bracelets will have a smaller wearable length than the actual length as the thickness of the bracelet reduces the internal measurement. If at any time you would like the actual length and is not in the description, please feel free to contact us.
