This outstanding vintage Art Deco Longines bracelet watch has a solid 14k white gold case set with 18 brilliant cut diamonds. The dial is framed with a row of 6 diamonds on each side and finished with a triangular formation at each lug. This absolutely stunning vintage watch is of excellent quality and manufacture as it would be expected from Longines.
The bracelet band is made of platinum and iridium and set with 20 brilliant cut diamonds. Each triangular portion adjacent to the lug is set with 3 diamonds, the band is set with 10 on each side.
The balance of the band is adorned with a square pattern that also reflects light. It fits wrists up to 5 3/4" long. It should be worn close to the wrist. The band closes with a double safety fold-over clasp. It is marked Plat Iridium.
The case measures 15/16" by 9/16". It is marked on the inside of the back cover.
The movement is mechanical, need to be wound. It is marked Longines Watch Co, Swiss, 17 Jewels (it contains 17 rubies within the movement), cal 44L, Unadjusted, and serial number 5753772 dating it to 1938/1939.
The watch runs and keeps time. Carefully tested, overall approximate weight is 14.4 grams. Total carat weight for the 36 diamonds is estimated at 0.75 carats, G color, VS1.
