Edwardian, 1901 to 1920s
Beautiful antique locket pendant necklace, the locket cover is monogrammed with A.M.S.
hand engraved. This is a Christian religious locket with two frames for pictures. The back portion of the locket holds a double Christian medal that is hinged, you open it to see the photo behind it.
Both frames are complete, the back one does not have a plastic cover (it has the medal). Photo locket is marked with a patent date of April 9, 1912, dating it to the Edwardian Era.
One side of the hinged medal has the raised image of Sacred Heart, the other is Our Lady. the front reads "Sacred Heart of Jesus have Mercy on us". Beautiful sentiment and lovely detail.
The gold finish has taken on a rich satin finish with time. We did not polish it inside or out as this finish is part of the character of the locket pendant.
Included is very nice gold filled curb chain 2mm wide and 24" long. A beautiful photo pendant with great history.
This information is intended to help you understand our sizing methods.
Please note many small measurements are in millimeters. It is a Jewelry Industry standard for accuracy.
You can download and print the Ring Sizing Chart. Make sure to follow the directions closely for best accuracy. Most rings can be sized unless otherwise noted. Cost of sizing is not included, please inquire with ring information and size required for an estimate.
Our model's hand is approximately 5" wide or 12 cm as seen in this image:
We measure bracelets based on their wearable length, not the actual length. We do this because chunky bracelets will have a smaller wearable length than the actual length as the thickness of the bracelet reduces the internal measurement. If at any time you would like the actual length and is not in the description, please feel free to contact us.
