Beautiful Carnelian Intaglio ring in 10k Gold. The date 1881 is hand engraved on the inside of the shank. The lovely Intaglio depicts Psyche, who had fallen in love with Cupid. It is a beautiful and quite old ring.
Setting measures 11/16" North South by 5/16" East West approximately.
RIng size is 5.25 US.
Other than the inscribed date there are no other visible marks. Carefully tested to verify content, it weighs approximately 3.4 gram or 2.2 pennyweights.
Condition is very good for age and a well loved ring. The intaglio has some light scratches, none in the figure. These are not obvious to the naked eye.
We had the shank professionally reinforced to increase durability.
