Gorgeous fiery Opal cabochons are set in 14k White and Yellow Gold in this cocktail ring from the 1960's. Inspired by Victorian styles with unique marquise shaped setting and center cabochon, it is impressive and delicate at the same time.
The marquise setting is white gold and measures approximately 3/4" North South by 1/2" at the widest. The navette Opal reaches 9/32" above the hand at the center.
Stones are beautiful, mostly blue with green fire and touches of red here and there. Opals are natural, not doublets. There are 8 round cabochons at approximately 2.5mm each and the center marquis cut Opal at 9mm by 4mm.
Opals are prong set, each prong has a tiny white gold bead at the end. Settings edge is beaded as well and scalloped in shape. The beads follow to the shoulders into the yellow gold shank.
