Victorian, 1830s to 1900s
Scarce all stone antique Victorian locket.
It is fairly large at 1 3/4" tall including the bail by 1 1/4" wide and 7/8" thick.
Each locket cover is a faceted red Banded Agate stone, Carnelian color.
The cabochons are bezel set with gallery wire and framed with rope pattern.
It is gorgeous, light reflects of the large facets.
Entirely hand made of gold filled metal.
Opens and closes well but the sides have to be matched carefully for it to snap shut.
Dates from the 1860's.
Excellent condition for it's age, minor loss of plating not obvious to the naked eye.

We measure bracelets based on their wearable length, not the actual length. We do this because chunky bracelets will have a smaller wearable length than the actual length as the thickness of the bracelet reduces the internal measurement.
