Victorian, 1830s to 1900s
Antique Victorian tango perfume bottle in Cobalt blue glass adorned with gold enamel floral design. The hinged lid is Brass and hand engraved with a flower pattern. This bottle would be carried on the hand, hanging from the finger and opened as needed to alleviate the unpleasant city odors. When set on a surface it acts as a lay down perfume bottle.
Measures approximately 3" long not including the chain or ring. It is in good condition with no cracks, chips or fractures but a small ding on the lid and some wear to the gilding consistent with age, no stopper. Estimated to date from the 1890's. Maker unknown.
