Gorgeous rare vintage Art Deco Illinois wrist watch with off set seconds sunken sub dial located at 9 o'clock. Case is double hinged, 14k White Gold Filled.

Square shaped case with engraved details is in pristine condition, no brassing and no monograms. Lugs and case sides are also engraved. Overall case measurements are approximately 1 1/16" wide not including the crown, 1 7/16" from lug to lug North South. Takes a 20mm watch band. It does have the Stainless Steel expanding band as found. As found watch band is also in excellent condition.

15 Jewels movement, Serial Number 4953583, marked Illinois Watch Co., Springfield. Serial Number dates it to around 1926 to 1927 right before Illinois was bought by Hamilton. Rumour has it Hamilton purchased Illinois to acquire the patent for the square cases such as this one.

Vintage Art Deco presentation box is included. Watch has been kept in it for decades, it has been well cared for.

Watch is in good running condition but has not been fully serviced and we do not guarantee that it will continue to work as we did not have it serviced. All mechainical watches should be serviced from time to time. Our watch person tells us it is in good order. We have had it running for several days and sometimes is a minute or two slow but nothing else.

We do this because chunky bracelets will have a smaller wearable length than the actual length as the thickness of the bracelet reduces the internal measurement.
