Victorian, 1830s to 1900s
Gorgeous antique Victorian Period Etruscan Revival hinged bangle bracelet in Yellow Gold Filled.
The bracelet body is matte gold with applied polished gold ornaments and canetille detail. Canetille work is the technique of adding tiny bits of pre-shaped wire to the metal surface by soldering each one by hand. The little beads are called reticulation and are also individually formed and soldered. Can you imagine the perseverance, patience and expertise these techniques require?
Bangle bracelet is 5/8" or 16mm wide and 1/8" or 3mm thick. Inside measurements are 2 1/8" or 54mm side to side by 1 5/8" or 42mm front to back. It fits wrists up to 6" or 15cm.
In very good condition for it's age with minor wear to the edge and a small depression on the back consistent with regular use and age.
Estimated to date from the 1870's. Marked "LT&Co" on the built in hidden box clasp.

Our model's hand is approximately 5" wide or 12 cm as seen in this image:
We measure bracelets based on their wearable length, not the actual length. We do this because chunky bracelets will have a smaller wearable length than the actual length as the thickness of the bracelet reduces the internal measurement. If at any time you would like the actual length and is not in the description, please feel free to contact us.
