Vintage to antique Repousse Silver Chinese pendant with tassels and bells. This pendants are protective charms. This is outside my main expertise but research indicates that this foo dog or lion is actually a mix of all three of the Celestial Guardians, which are the Kilin, the Foo Dog and the Pi Yao.

Pendant tests as at least 800 Silver. It is sometimes difficult to pinpoint the actual silver content as often coins from various countries would be melted together, the resulting alloy re-used.

Measures 5 3/4" long. The figure measures 1 5/16" wide by 1 3/16" by 9/16" at the deepest point. Entirely hand wrought, hollow formed with soldered accents.

Estimated to date from the 1920's, in excellent condition.

Our model's hand is approximately 5" wide or 12 cm as seen in this image:

Our Estate Jewelry measuring guide - model's hand.

We measure bracelets based on their wearable length, not the actual length. We do this because chunky bracelets will have a smaller wearable length than the actual length as the thickness of the bracelet reduces the internal measurement. If at any time you would like the actual length and is not in the description, please feel free to contact us.
