Art Deco, 1920s to 1930s
Vintage Czech pressed glass pendant in Egyptian Revival style dates from the Art Deco Era.
The Jade Green molten glass is pressed into a mold. Contrasting color is added to enhance detail. Older molds have great detail. The result of this technique can be stunning as you can see on this pendant.
We believe this to be a representation of the goddess Isis as a winged woman holding the Ankh on one hand and Thoth's caduceus on the other.
A beautiful palm tree, fan of feathers or lotus flower is in the background.
The same image is present on both sides. Uncommon overall shape.
Measurements are approximately 2" long including ring and 1 1/2" without the ring.
It is 1 1/8" at the widest point and 9/32" at the thickest point.
In excellent condition, estimated to date from the 1920's.
