Edwardian, 1901 to 1920s

Edwardian Filigree Sterling Silver Lavalier Necklace

Beautiful dainty late Edwardian to Art Deco filigree lavalier necklace in Rhodium over Sterling Silver. The pendant is set with a faux Citrine framed in pierced pattern with gold outline. The outer frame is engraved. There is a lot of tiny detail on this so romantic lavalier.

The pendant measures 1 3/8" long including the necklace center piece and is almost 11/16" at the widest point. The lovely faux Citrine is a crystal, very nicely faceted and the color has a hint of taupe.

A delicate fancy long and short link chain completes the necklace. The antique pinch type clasp is embossed with a flower and stamped "Sterling" and the maker's mark. Maker is H in between two triangles, which has not been identified. Necklace overall length is 18.5".

The condition is excellent, the bright silver Rhodium plating gives it a Platinum look. There is no loss of enamel, no wear to the stone, it is in magnificent condition, looking barely worn and well kept.
