It does not get any more Art Deco than this. Made in solid 14k Gold and black and green enamel. The chain is composed of tubular
enameled links in alternating color. It is also a watch chain.
The book locket charm is also solid 14k Gold with black and mint green enamel. It's truly amazing in style, manufacture, and quality. The details are truly beautiful, from the hinged clasp that holds the locket closed, to pictures.
The bracelet measures 7 7/8" long It can be clasped at 6 7/8" long, the charm will drop lower on the smaller length. There are two clasps on the bracelet so it can be worn as a watch chain.
Book locket is 11/16" tall not including the bail. It is 9/16" at the widest point and 1/8" thick. The spine is articulated and holds two pages plus the front and back covers. The front cover is engraved with the initials E.T.S.
The only other similar locket I have found is by Cartier. The mark on that locket is on the jump ring that holds the book locket. Unfortunately, it looks like this jump ring has been replaced. The clasps, however, have hand engraved marks that are very tiny, barely legible with 20x magnification. Stamped 14k and engraved 47 or 97 on one clasp. The opposing clasp is stamped 14k with very little hand engraving left.
Bracelet and locket were carefully tested. They are in excellent condition, some light scratches only visible with magnification.
Overall approximate weight is 11.25 grams. Estimated to date from the 1920's.
