Gorgeous Vintage Estate St Christopher religious medal charm in 18k Gold.
Features St Christopher carrying the Holy Child across the waters.
The saint's image is gold and surrounded by Plique a Jour enamel of different colors.
When light goes through the charm, the colors come to life.
It can be worn as a pendant but colors will not be obvious.
Just like a stained glass window, it is prettiest when light comes through.
Very well rendered and beautifully detailed figures.
Overall measurements are approximately 9/16" in diameter.
Height including bail is 7/8" approximately.
Marked 18k on the back of the medal, adjacent to the maker's mark.
Jump ring is also marked.
Estimated to date from the 1920's.
