Gray Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl Modernist Cufflinks

These Modernist cufflinks are stunning! The materials are perfect for the Op-Art design. Made of solid 14k gold they are shaped as perfectly round bowls.

Each round cabochon is bezel set at just at the right spot near the edge. This allows their mirror finish to reflect the ambient - it's mesmerizing.

The cabochons are a warm gray color, like a rain cloud. Each of the lines on the cabochons is well defined. They are almost 1/4" in diameter.

Each cufflink is 13/16" in diameter and 3/16" at the center, the deepest point. The pair weighs approximately 15 gram.

The condition is excellent - only very minor signs of wear when viewed under 20x magnification.

Cufflinks are marked "14k, patent number 24772958" (for the cufflink mechanism). There are no maker's mark. Estimated to date from the 40's to the 50's, MCM, based on the presence of a patent number.
