Vintage Victorian Revival men's signet ring in 10k yellow gold features a true Hematite (not man made or imitation) carved intaglio flanked by a single Diamond melee at each side. Intaglio depicts a Greco-Roman soldier or centurion, often a representation of the god Mars.
Setting measures 29/32" North South by 3/4" East West including the white gold portion where the Diamonds are set. Carved chevron shoulders narrow to the shank.
Ring size is 9.75. Marked SKAL and 10k gold, carefully tested. Please note that true Hematite is rich in iron making the intaglio itself magnetic.
In very good to excellent condition with light wear to the top and bottom of the stone which is not obvious to the naked eye. Approximate total weight 5.5 grams, ca 1960's
