This is an unusual vintage Toledoware Damascene belt buckle depicts a shield flanked by 2 different mythical creatures in a circle. Outside the circle, there are two Griffins, one at each side facing to the center. The black background is iron with applied layers of 22k Gold and fine Silver to create the design. The buckle is gold plated.

Belt buckle measures 1 3/4" by 1 1/8" and fits belts up to 1" wide. In very good condition with no damage, no wear to the 22k plating on the buckle.
Unmarked, estimated to date from the 1950's.
