Gorgeous pair of antique Satsuma (attributed) porcelain buttons with gilt edges of whirling pattern, Cherry blossoms and flying crane. The crane is depicted in Moriage, which is a technique similar to enamel producing a raised texture.

Incredible detail as one would expect. Estimated to date from the 1910's, they are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repair. There is a small area of wear on the gilt near the edge on the back of one button. Some crazing on the surface of the glaze consistent with age. they are estimated to date form the late Meiji Period, around 1890's to 1910's.

Overall approximate measurements are 1 1/4" in diameter by 3/8" deep at the center.
