Victorian, 1830s to 1900s
One of our favorites, we love antique gate bracelets with darling heart padlock clasps. Unusual link design, a combination of double eternity links connected by tank tread style chain.
Beautifully made, width alternates between 1/4" and 3/8" at the center of the eternity links. Gold fill has a beautifully warm rose-y tone.
Bracelet will fit wrists up to 7.5". Padlock clasp does not require a key to open, just press the tab at one end to release. The heart padlock measures 15/16" tall and is nicely detailed with stamped screw heads. The safety chain is a nice addition and keeps the bracelet and the heart padlock together when bracelet is opened.
In very good condition with slight signs of wear consistent with age. Stamped JSB, maker unknown. Estimated to date from the 1890's. In good condition with light signs of wear consistent with age. One link is missing on one tank tread section, it is not obvious when worn.
This information is intended to help you understand our sizing methods.
Please note many small measurements are in millimeters. It is a Jewelry Industry standard for accuracy.
You can download and print the Ring Sizing Chart. Make sure to follow the directions closely for best accuracy. Most rings can be sized unless otherwise noted. Cost of sizing is not included, please inquire with ring information and size required for an estimate.
Our model's hand is approximately 5" wide or 12 cm as seen in this image:
We measure bracelets based on their wearable length, not the actual length. We do this because chunky bracelets will have a smaller wearable length than the actual length as the thickness of the bracelet reduces the internal measurement. If at any time you would like the actual length and is not in the description, please feel free to contact us.
