Victorian Period locket necklace in Gold Filled.

Round locket has bead set imitation Garnet at the center of a small star shape.

Cover has patterned frame.

Overall measurements are approximately 1 1/16" in diameter not including the ring and bail on the top by 3/16" thick.

It is in good condition but shows slight wear on the cover and dimples and darker areas on the back.

Estimated to date from the 1890's.

Unmarked except for the Roman Numeral VIII inscribed inside.

Room for 2 images held by pressure underneath the edge.

Included is a 18" long Rolo chain in gold filled.

Chain is newer than the locket dating from the late 1920's.

Closes with an older version of a spring clasp. It has a raised ring for opening and closing instead of the tab.

Chain is in excellent condition.
