This Victorian Era Belcher setting men's gold ring features a Star Ruby round cabochon. This type of setting is sometimes referred to claw setting as the prongs resemble claws holding the stone.
The ring setting is 3/8" North-South. The center of the Star Ruby reaches 1/4" above the hand. The floating star is an orb, nearly impossible to properly photograph. Since we do not alter our photos, it will appear fainter than in person.
The ring size is 10 US and can be sized. The gold shade is beautiful, a warm but light rose gold typical of the Victorian Era. It is not coppery as more contemporary jewelry.
The ring is in excellent condition. It is marked 14k and was carefully tested. The overall approximate weight is 6.2 gram.
