Antique Victorian 14k Gold Canetille Amethyst Seed Pearl Hat Stick Pin
This is an exquisite and rare hat pin made by a very talented goldsmith with superb canetille skills. Canetille is the technique of creating tiny dots, orbs, or wire forms that are then fused to the metal surface. It requires true mastery.
The pin itself measures 5 1/2″ long including the lovely engraved gold-filled clutch. The top is 1/2″ tall including the tiny immaculately white gem pearl which is natural and not cultured. There were no cultured pearls at the time this pin was made around the 1890s.
It is solid 14k gold and incorporates a natural amethyst faceted roundel as part of the design. The overall weight is approximately 4.3 grams including the clutch. It is not marked and was carefully tested.

- If there is loss or damage in transit please let us know right away so we can assist with the insurance claim. The insurance coverage ends 7 days after delivery, so please don’t wait.
- If you need to return an item, please visit our self-service Returns Center for the RMA number. Returns sent without an RMA Number will be refused. We will respond quickly with instructions.
