Description
Vintage solid 14k gold Italian hand good luck charm also called a Mano Cornuto. Famed for protecting the wearer against the “evil eye” much like a figa is said to do, but it is not a figa.
This is a particularly nice one with individual fingers and great detail, even the fingernails and creases on the palm are present. It is also heavy, likely solid through out as opposed to the light weight hollow ones.
Charm measures 1 1/8″ long including the bail. It is 5/16″ at the widest point and 3/16″ at the deepest. In excellent condition, marked 14k on the ring, carefully tested. Weighs approximately 3.4 gram. Ca 1970s.
