A vivid blue faience scarab rises from the center of this elaborate Egyptian 800 silver brooch. The oval mounting is entirely hand fabricated with twisted-wire filigree, granulation, applied rosettes, teardrops and fan-shaped details, all defined by deep natural patina.
Egyptian assay punches on the pin stem include the lotus national silver mark introduced after 1946, supporting a circa 1950s date. The brooch is in excellent vintage condition with a secure scarab, working pin and C clasp, and no chips, cracks, missing elements or repairs.
