Description
Antique Allentown Brotherhood Ribbon Badge Fraternal Handshake Bar Pin In amazing condition for its age, with no tears on the silk ribbons. It is reversible to be worn on commemorative and mourning occasions. Inscribed n German, I have not been able to find much information.
The red ribbon reads:
“Organizirt Sept 26, 1911
Allgemeiner Arbeiter Untertutzungs Verein,
Allentown, PA”
The black ribbon reads:
“In Memoriam,
Allgemeiner Arbeiter Untertutzungs Verein,
Allentown, PA”
It measures 8″ tall overall. The ribbon is 2 1/2″ wide. The pin is enamel on stamped brass.
Great image of hands shaking. Manufacturers stamp and patent “Whitehead & Hoag Co.
Newark NJ ” on the back of the pin.
In very good condition and clean. The colors are intense and not faded. A very unique historical Allentown, PA piece.

- Returns are gladly accepted for store credit when you notify us within 7 days of order delivery. Returned items must be unworn, undamaged, and unaltered.
- Electronic store credits are issued to your account with PreAdored® and do not expire. Shipping charges are not credited. There are no refunds.
- Items which were discounted by any means or altered (as in the case of sized rings) are Final Sale and cannot be returned.
- If there is loss or damage in transit please let us know right away so we can assist with the insurance claim. The insurance coverage ends 7 days after delivery, so please don’t wait.
- If you need to return an item, please visit our self-service Returns Center for the RMA number. Returns sent without an RMA Number will be refused. We will respond quickly with instructions.
- We regret that we cannot cancel orders that have been shipped. Unshipped orders will incur a 15% restocking fee.
