A slender golden crescent holds a graduated row of natural seed pearls, their soft luster contrasting with the polished, pointed tips. Small in scale and finely proportioned, this antique brooch offers a delicate expression of the crescent moon motif.
Made around 1890–1910, the late Victorian to Edwardian pin also serves as a watch holder: a fixed curved hook on the reverse can suspend a small pendant watch or locket. The clasp is marked 14K, and testing confirms the gold fineness. Two small old solder deposits remain on the reverse, their purpose unknown.
