Description
A classic antique Victorian intaglio fob pendant featuring the Greco-Roam profile of the goddess Minerva. The image is carved into the carnelian color glass instead of a cameo where the image is raised above the surface.
Framed in gold filled with two textured ribbons at each side of a smooth polished center. The intaglio is oval and set east-west.
It measures 1/16 of an inch tall, including the ring on top. It is 1 inch wide and 1/8 of an inch at the deepest point.
The intaglio is glass used as carnelian simulant.
The condition is excellent. It is estimated to date from the late 1890s.
