An ornate late Victorian portrait locket pendant fragment dating to approximately 1870–1890. The richly dimensional brass surround features layered acanthus leaves, curling scrolls, and openwork details characteristic of the Renaissance Revival style.
The recessed oval compartment likely once held a portrait, miniature, or sentimental keepsake beneath a protective glass or cover. Those original contents and the cover are no longer present. A broad open-hook bail allows the piece to be suspended from a chain or ribbon, making it wearable as found or suitable for a thoughtful restoration or conversion.
