A vintage Art Nouveau Style Repousse Pendant Necklace in 999 Fine Silver – Gibson Girl with Summer Hat Cameo
This beautiful Art Nouveau style fine silver pendant necklace is a rare design by Henryk Winograd, a master of the Repousse technique. The lovely cameo is created by working the metal from the back to the front, an incredibly difficult technique.
The smiling young woman wears a brimmed hat held by a scarf or wide ribbon. Smaller ribbons and her hair float softly in the breeze, in typical Art Nouveau fashion. It brings the Gibson Girls to mind.
The pendant is round and measures almost 1 1/2″, including the bail. The back is plain, all silver surface. It is 1/2″ at the deepest point, the brim of her hat.
Completing the necklace, we added a 16″ snake chain with round silver bead stations. It complements it beautifully and gives the necklace a modern and timeless look.
This Art Nouveau repousse silver pendant is marked “999” and “HW” on the side. The condition is excellent. It has a beautiful, warm patina that enhances each detail.
Henryk Winograd was considered one of the great masters of classic silversmithing in the contemporary era. Each piece is truly unique. He passed away in 2008, well into his 90s.

- Returns are gladly accepted for store credit when you notify us within 7 days of order delivery. Returned items must be unworn, undamaged, and unaltered.
- Electronic store credits are issued to your account with PreAdored® and do not expire. Shipping charges are not credited. There are no refunds.
- Items which were discounted by any means or altered (as in the case of sized rings) are Final Sale and cannot be returned.
- If there is loss or damage in transit please let us know right away so we can assist with the insurance claim. The insurance coverage ends 7 days after delivery, so please don’t wait.
- If you need to return an item, please visit our self-service Returns Center for the RMA number. Returns sent without an RMA Number will be refused. We will respond quickly with instructions.
- We regret that we cannot cancel orders that have been shipped. Unshipped orders will incur a 15% restocking fee.
