Antique Bloomed Gold Round Victorian Locket
This beautiful bloomed gold round Victorian locket has an engraved garland on the cover, which is set with paste rhinestones. “Paste” is the name for antique rhinestones because they were made from glass paste.
Bloomed gold was a favorite finish of Victorian times. It is opulent without being too reflective.
The sinuous lines of the garland are inspired by snakes, which in turn symbolized lovers in Victorian times. It is a gorgeous gift.
The paste stone at the center is quite bright. The smaller ones set along the garland are evenly dark. Time created a beautiful contrast.
The locket is 1 3/16″ or 30 mm in diameter, and one is 5 mm deep at the center. The total height, including the jump ring on the top, is 1 1/2″.
The condition overall is excellent. May we suggest one of our chains or watch chains to complete your necklace?
