This gorgeous antique Edwardian gold fill Albertina pocket watch chain is composed to double paperclip links connected by three round links. It is beautifully made and very uncommon. The drop section that holds the T bar slides along the chain and has a second spring ring for an additional fob.
The full length of the chain from the dog clip to the larger spring ring is 14 1/4″ long. The t-bar drop and fob clasp section is 2 3/4″ long. The link diameter is 2mm.
In excellent condition, all clasps are fully functional. There is almost no wear on the surface.
The gold is warm and rich, marked “1/10 14k”, and for the maker, Sturdy, one of the leaders of watch chains, jewelry, and watch bands in the early portion of the 20th Century.
The 1/10 content is twice the gold content of most gold fill. The approximate weight is 9 grams. It is exquisite. Carefully tested.
