Description
This rare authentic Art Nouveau Era enameled flower 14k gold brooch pin is so beautiful and delicate. It is an enchanting depiction of a six-petaled flower centered by a natural, not cultured, pearl. A second small pearl represents a tiny bud. The stems are intertwined in a delicate pattern typical of the Art Nouveau style.
This little gem measures approximately 1 1/4 inches long overall. The flower is 5/8 of an inch in diameter, enameled in soft, iridescent yellow at the center, changing to lavender towards the petal tips.
The pin is marked on the stem catch with the letter M over the number 14 for the gold content. It was carefully tested.
It weighs approximately 2.5 grams. The condition is pristine, with no loss or damage to the enamel. This pin is estimated to date from the early 1900s.
Pearls are the birthstone for June.
