A single word becomes wearable sculpture in this vintage sterling silver pendant by Navajo silversmith Henry Baca. Its irregular oval medallion is deliberately hand hammered and richly textured, giving the surface a rugged, almost lunar quality. Across it, the word Concord appears in raised, smoothly polished script, creating a striking contrast of light, texture and relief.
The substantial oval bail is also textured and generously sized for a heavier chain, leather thong or fabric cord. Compact yet expressive, the pendant has the unmistakable presence of an individual studio-made work and an appealing unisex character. It is offered as the pendant only; no chain or cord is included.
