A striking late Art Deco 10K gold ring centered by a richly colored marquise-cut blue sapphire in an architectural floral shield setting.
The bezel-set sapphire is framed by a pointed hexagonal face embossed and chased with flowers and scrollwork. Engraved white-gold illusion accents at each side catch the light like small diamonds, adding contrast without additional stones. Solid floral shoulders and an open gallery complete the beautifully detailed circa 1935–1945 design.
Electronic testing supports sapphire identification; natural or laboratory-created origin cannot be determined. The sapphire is estimated at 2.2–2.4 carats from its mounted measurements.
In excellent vintage condition. The sapphire has no chips or abrasions, and no repairs or previous sizing are evident to the eye.
