Description
This gorgeous Mexican sterling silver bypass cuff bracelet is entirely handmade in a technique called Repousse, where the metal is heated and pushed from the back to raise and mold the surface. It is a labor of love, each individual design element is independently made.
With a massive look, it is not too heavy to comfortably wear. This vintage Mexican hinged clamper bracelet has a spring action at the hinge and a slight bypass at the front. It is almost 3″ at the widest point and tapers to 1″ at the hinge.
The bracelet can be worn by a wide range of wrist sizes. It is 7″ interior circumference when at rest.
It is in very good condition with a couple of tiny indents from regular wear which is consistent with age (1950’s) and regular use of a hollow bracelet.
It is marked with the Eagle mark, the number 170 or 178, Sterling, Mexico and 925. It weighs approximately 36.8 gram.
