Description

A striking late-1980s to early-1990s Art-to-Wear necklace, composed as a miniature abstract sculpture in sterling silver, gold vermeil and natural gemstones. A double-terminated amethyst crystal forms the architectural center, accompanied by bezel-set faceted amethyst, garnet and peridot.

The artist combined contrasting surfaces and forms: reticulated silver side panels, polished tubular curls, open wirework and a richly textured field of gold-vermeil granulation. A closely matching period cuff has been documented with the same distinctive crystal, gemstones, granulation and sculptural construction, suggesting a coordinated body of studio work.
