A stunning natural Opal and 14k gold Modernist ring, the oval Opal cabochon is a natural stone, not a doublet or triplet. It has gorgeous color play.
With smooth lines and set somewhat high on the hand, the opal is protected by its bezel setting.
The setting measures 23mm north-south and 12.5mm east-west, just outside the double accent diamonds set on each side of the shoulders. The center of the stone rises 10mm above the hand.
The gem Opal is estimated at 14mm by 8mm by 6.4mm deep at the center, or approximately 4 carats.
The four diamonds are melee-sized and add great sparkle to the ring.
The ring size is 8.25, and it can be sized. The approximate total weight is 4.8 grams.
There is a partial 585 mark inside the shank or band. It was carefully tested to confirm.
It is likely this ring is of European make. There isn’t a maker’s mark.
The condition is excellent, with light scratches on the metal surface but no damage whatsoever.
