An uncommon and finely preserved 1939 New York World’s Fair souvenir bracelet, featuring a miniature articulated book charm and its original presentation box. Pieces combining wearable design with intact historical packaging are increasingly difficult to find.
Suspended from a fine gold tone bar link chain, the charm takes the form of a small articulated booklet with full color serigraphed metal panels. The cover reads “New York World’s Fair 1939,” with “Souvenir Album” on the reverse.
Inside the book, detailed scenes depict key fair landmarks including the Federal Building, United States Steel Building, DuPont Building, the World’s Fair Music Hall, as well as the Ford Building and RCA Building.
Examples retaining both the original box and complete booklet charm are seldom encountered in this condition.
The bracelet remains attached to its original box, with no indication of prior wear. The box lid features the iconic Trylon and Perisphere design, further anchoring the piece in its historical moment.
