Description
This is a beautifully made Victorian era puffy heart charm souvenir of Niagara Falls, Buffalo, NY. The Falls are depicted as a woman, the water pours from her extended arms. Very romantic, mostly considering it was a prime destination at the time. The word Niagara and the year 1901 are raised at her feet.
The Victorian Era ended that year (1901) with the passing of Queen Victoria.
The back is marked “Sterling” and hand engraved “ROCHESTER”.
The charm measures 7/8″ tall including the jump ring on the top. It is a bit over 5/8″ at the widest point.
In excellent condition for its age, it does have light surface wear on the back.
Wear it on your charm bracelet, add it to your penca de balangandan or as a single charm on a chain.
