Ostby & Barton has a rich history. The company was the premier ring manufacturer at the beginning of the 20th Century. It was founded in 1879 by Engelhart Cornelius Ostby and Nathan B. Barton. Mr. Ostby would travel the world yearly and hand-select gemstones for their rings. Sadly, in 1912, Mr. Ostby was returning home with his daughter and perished in the Titanic tragedy.
