Description

A sculptural vintage shell pendant with natural turquoise, jasper and pipestone mosaic inlay, accented by a warm brass band.

Small turquoise chips follow the shell’s rounded contours, surrounding contrasting burgundy and reddish brown triangles. A horizontal brass band separates the upper design from a richly textured field of rust-red mosaic below. The exposed shell reverse reveals the natural form supporting this intricate composition.

The construction is consistent with Kewa (Santo Domingo Pueblo) mosaic shell jewelry. It is offered as Kewa Pueblo style, with maker, origin and exact date unconfirmed. All stones are identified and natural.
