Description
Antique William B. Kerr & Co hammered texture belt buckle in solid Sterling Silver. Known for their elaborate Art Nouveau designs, this buckle’s style leans to the Arts & Crafts Movement with clean lines and hand hammered finish.
Buckle measures 2″ by 1 5/16″ wide and is heavy at 28 grams. The clean lines make it timeless and wearable by men or women.
Buckle accommodates a belt up to 1″ wide.
In excellent condition, it is stamped with the ax with 3 x’s on the handle, Sterling, 184, H.M.G. and hand inscribed with the initials V.N.Y.
In excellent condition, estimated to date from the 1900’s.
William B. Kerr & Co. produced fine Sterling Silver decorative pieces and jewelry from 1880 to 1927. Located in Newark, NJ, they were acquired by Gorham in 1927.
