Antique Victorian Repousse Sterling Silver Bangle Bracelet – Plumes and Swirls
This antique Victorian bangle is a hollow circular tubular bracelet made of sterling silver. The metal is heated and hammered on the reverse side to create the raised pattern. This is the metalsmithing technique called repousse. It is a difficult technique and only expert silversmiths achieve it well.
This Victorian bangle measures 3 1/8 in outside diameter and is 3/8 inch deep.
The inside measurement is 2 1/2 inches across.
It is in good condition overall for its age, it has a couple of dings and one small area where it is thinner due to regular wear. If you wear bangles you know what I mean. It has no breaks, it is not badly deformed. It is over 130 years old and has been loved.
This antique bracelet is marked simply Sterling, with no maker’s mark. We cleaned and hand polished but we do not dip antique silver jewelry, so there is some patina. We love patina because it makes the design pop.

- Returns are gladly accepted for store credit when you notify us within 7 days of order delivery. Returned items must be unworn, undamaged, and unaltered.
- Electronic store credits are issued to your account with PreAdored® and do not expire. Shipping charges are not credited. There are no refunds.
- Items which were discounted by any means or altered (as in the case of sized rings) are Final Sale and cannot be returned.
- If there is loss or damage in transit please let us know right away so we can assist with the insurance claim. The insurance coverage ends 7 days after delivery, so please don’t wait.
- If you need to return an item, please visit our self-service Returns Center for the RMA number. Returns sent without an RMA Number will be refused. We will respond quickly with instructions.
- We regret that we cannot cancel orders that have been shipped. Unshipped orders will incur a 15% restocking fee.
